I lived in Hartford until reaching adulthood with a stint in Puerto Rico for a few years in between. I have a remarkable teenage son who is my perfect joy.

I have worked with children for most of my life in academic, cultural and outdoor education settings. I worked with families that sought assistance at Connecticut Childrens Medical Center’s clinics, surgical units, emergency department and mental health wings. My extensive time in education includes some of my favorite moments. I have served children as teacher, paraeducator and substitute in art, Spanish, math, science, and history all over suburban and urban areas of CT. I have enjoyed my dedication to children’s wellbeing, safety and development. It is one of my lifelong passions and it is my sincere honor to serve the families of Sweeney.

I am new to this position and look forward to experiencing the wonders of Willimantic and its people as your Family and Community Engagement Liaison.
